What it does
- A ledger that fills itself
- Receipts, refunds, cheques, commissions and supplier and salary payments post double-entry journals as they happen.
- Nothing is edited after posting
- A posted entry is never changed or deleted. A correction is a reversal and a new entry, both in the audit trail.
- Chart of accounts and bank books
- A developer’s chart of accounts to start from, with account ledgers and bank and cash books with running balances.
- Bank reconciliation
- Import a bank statement from CSV or Excel. Plotler matches what it can, you match the rest, and the reconciliation report lists what is outstanding.
- Journals with approval
- Manual journals post at once within your limit and go for approval above it.
- Period close
- Close each month with a checklist. Reopening a closed month needs the owner’s approval.
- Financial reports
- Trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet for any dates and project, with checks that they tie out, and sub-ledgers for customers, brokers and suppliers.
- Exports for your accountant
- Reports and ledgers to Excel, and journals to QuickBooks Online (CSV) or QuickBooks Desktop (IIF). A nightly check flags anything in the ledger that does not add up.
